DevOps Engineer

CoMind is building non-invasive brain-computer interfaces focused on dramatically increasing our understanding of the brain and changing how we interact with computers.

CoMind is looking for a DevOps Engineer who has experience working in a scientific and/or deep tech environment. On the sysadmin side, you will design, configure and administer DBs and storage management systems and TB-scale networks for streaming and securing data from high-throughput acquisition devices. You will contribute strongly to architecting QA infrastructure for testing, telemetry and diagnostics, and build reproducibility over a complex tech stack originating in high-throughput digital acquisition, through embedded DSP systems and finally application SW. This naturally means being able to bridge the gap between embedded and application SW engineers . You will be working alongside a highly diverse and collaborative team of Optical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Neuroscientists and ML and Data Scientists to develop technology that will transform how humans interact with computers.

CoMind is a venture-backed start-up including some of the top investors in Europe and Silicon Valley.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Expert level experience in C/C++ and Python, and deep knowledge of the Python data engineering ecosystem.

  • 3+ years of experience developing software in a professional capacity
  • Proficient in SQL and DB schema design, and DB configuration and administration
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD across embedded and application SW
  • Experience in network configuration and administration for terabyte-level streaming data.
  • Strong knowledge of Test Engineering principles in a HW-SW co-development environment.
  • Experience working in a fast iterative cycle between HW and SW engineers
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and developers

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • Experience architecting software intended for use by scientists/experimentalists.
  • Working experience building and managing ETL pipelines with AWS or a similar cloud ecosystem.
  • Experience with data versioning and ML model versioning using tools such as MLFlow or Neptune.
  • Experience in health, medical and/or clinical data systems.
  • History of contributing to open source and/or team-based projects.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Adept at participating in scrum-agile process, technical discussions, and technology choices.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary plus stock options.

  • Pension.

  • Breakfast and snacks provided.

  • An opportunity to change how humans interact with computers and the potential to save lives.

  • The chance to help grow a company and its culture from the ground up.

  • A promising career growth opportunity. We would much rather promote people who have exceeded expectations in their current role rather than hire new people.
